Terms of Service

By using this website and booking services with Holistic Healing with Charisse Joy, you agree to the following terms of service (updated effective 22/07/26):

1. Scope of Practice

Charisse Joy is certified to provide Reiki treatments, Reiki classes, relaxation massage, meditation lessons and life coaching within the scope of practice defined by local laws. All services provided are professional treatments intended to support relaxation and promote wellbeing. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications or provide psychiatric therapy. Reiki treatments are complementary, not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you have a specific medical or psychological concern, consult with your certified healthcare provider.

 

2. Booking Confirmation

All appointments and classes must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to release any unpaid bookings after 24 hours.

3. Cancellation Policy

 - Appointments:

Rescheduling or cancelling your appointment is permitted up to 48 hours prior to your appointment start time. To cancel or reschedule your appointment please email: hello.charissejoy@gmail.com. Changes and cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment start time are not permitted and 100% of the scheduled service price will be charged. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency or illness at our discretion. Missed appointments will not be refunded and 100% of the scheduled service price will be charged. Late arrivals will not receive extended appointment time and 100% of the scheduled service price will still be charged.

 

 - Reiki Classes:

Because specialised training material is provided at the time of your booking, Reiki class fees are non-refundable and cancellations are not permitted. You may reschedule your Reiki class up to 5 days prior to your class date. To reschedule your class please email: hello.charissejoy@gmail.com. Rescheduling your Reiki class within 5 days of your class date will incur an additional $50 late change fee. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency or illness at our discretion.

 

4. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service at any time if a client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, behaves inappropriately, or poses a risk to the therapist or themselves. Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and 100% of the scheduled service price will still be charged.

 

5. Minors

Clients under 16 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present for the session.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Holistic Healing with Charisse Joy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of our services.

 

7. Confidentiality

Information shared during sessions is kept confidential, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). We may be required to disclose certain information if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law.

 

8. Consumer Law

Nothing in our terms of service is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation where such rights cannot be excluded.

 

9. Updates to our Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update our Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
